This Blog is actually just an excuse for me to have a place to post a few of my myriad and always growing collection of photos! And, a way to keep my family and friends up to date on our activities.

Apache Trail

While we were staying in Phoenix, we took a scenic trail day trip. Notice the "no pavement for 22 miles" sign. Our Windstar Van (and John) performed admirabley on the loose gravel and steep terrain.

That sounds like a really good trip. How long were you travelling in total?

By the way - the Saguaro looks impressive.

After we left Dallas our "road trip" was approximately two more weeks. We've been home awhile by now, of course, but I didn't want to put too many pix on the blog at once, so I'm parcelling them out.

We stayed at my cousin's place near Phoenix for about three nights and did day trips in the area and also stayed with Cathy and Nancy for a couple nights at their home in New Mexico; otherwise we stayed in cheap motels along the way.

It was a wonderful, relaxed and relaxing trip. No definite itinerary, no stress. We saw lots and lots of ancient puebloan dwellings (cliff and otherwise)and were fascinated by every one of them.
