Evergladedes

We enjoyed a visit recently with our Tellico Village friends Boyd and Kathy. Since they were "newbies to the 'Glades we took them to our usual swamp activities.

The airboat ride is a must.







The mangrove channels were filled with brackish water, in contrast to the last time we went (with the kids and kidlings) when the drought had everything muddy and shallow. Made for a great ride.

















We chose "Speedy Johnson's" airboat company because he paints his boats (and his shop) bright yellow. Much, much more photogenic than the ususal metallic grays.










Of course, the tourists all love the gator crossing signs ....

Officially an Old Fart !

We are officially "Old Farts!"

We spent an entire evening eating pizza and Wii Bowling with some other "old" friends. It's actually really fun ... and, yes, we were sore the next morning. Haven't used those exact muscles for awhile.
